PNC Serves at the LaPorte YMCA
In Honor of Martin Luther King

Monday, January 15th classes were not held in honor of Martin Luther King and a group of PNC faculty, staff, and students spent the afternoon honoring his memory by doing what King preached: serving others.

The United Way Volunteer Center organized the service project which had the volunteers painting the old teen center at the La Porte Family YMCA. Working side by side, the volunteers were able to give the old space a face lift so the teens can again have a great place to gather.

If your business would like to make a difference in your community by doing a service project, contact the Volunteer Center at the La Porte United Way or e-mail kathyb@unitedwaypc.org.
