United Way of LaPorte County Board

 
An 17-member volunteer Board of Directors exercises total decision making and policy setting authority over the United Way of LaPorte County. These volunteers come from all walks of life throughout LaPorte County and are accountable to the people of this community. When people or firms contribute to the United Way campaign, their funds come under the stewardship of these volunteers who work diligently to keep necessary costs to a minimum. Asset Manager, GE Capital

Andy Neal has been with G.E. Capital – Real Estate, as an Asset Manager since November, 2009. Prior to that Andy was Director of Operations for Hartmarx Corporation, an apparel manufacturing and marketing company based in Chicago. He also worked for Jack Nicklaus / Nicklaus apparel for seven years; coordinating the marketing of Nicklaus products for the annual Nicklaus hosted golf tournament "The Memorial" as well as other major PGA events such as the PGA Championship, Senior U.S. Open and The Ryder Cup.

Andy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University, and attended the New York Institute of Photography, and the Northwest Indiana Entrepreneurship Academy. Andy has been active in United Way since 2007 serving as Loaned Executive, Allocations Committee Chairperson, Treasurer on the Board of Directors, and is currently Vice-Chairman. In addition to United Way activities Andy has been a Junior Achievement classroom instructor for eight years.

Andy's wife Kathy is a pharmacist for CVS; they have two children and live in Michigan City.
