United Way of LaPorte County Board

 
An 17-member volunteer Board of Directors exercises total decision making and policy setting authority over the United Way of LaPorte County. These volunteers come from all walks of life throughout LaPorte County and are accountable to the people of this community. When people or firms contribute to the United Way campaign, their funds come under the stewardship of these volunteers who work diligently to keep necessary costs to a minimum. Vice-President, Lakeshore Foods Corporation

Alexis joined Lakeshore Foods in 2007 after previously working in the Online Advertising field in Los Angeles for four years. Lakeshore Foods, or Al's Supermarkets is a family-owned supermarket chain located in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan. Alexis proudly represents the third generation of her family business, which was started over 60 years ago by her grandfather Al Pontius.

Alexis has a Bachelor of Communications Studies from St. Mary's College and is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.

Alexis is a current member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of LaPorte County and previously co-chaired their 2009 and 2010 fundraising campaigns.
