United Way of LaPorte County Board

 
An 17-member volunteer Board of Directors exercises total decision making and policy setting authority over the United Way of LaPorte County. These volunteers come from all walks of life throughout LaPorte County and are accountable to the people of this community. When people or firms contribute to the United Way campaign, their funds come under the stewardship of these volunteers who work diligently to keep necessary costs to a minimum. Board Member

Public Affairs Manager, NIPSCO

Angie joined NIPSCO in July of 2011 as Public Affairs Manager for LaPorte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke, Marshall and Kosciusko Counties. Prior to working at NIPSCO, Angie worked for SBC Communications for approximately ten years. She was hired in under their Leadership Development Program and held numerous positions in Texas, Missouri and Illinois. Angie left the organization in December 2004 after moving back to her hometown, Michigan City, to raise her two children.

Angie has spent the last seven years working part-time as an Inside Sales Engineer for Dwyer Instruments, teaching at Ivy Tech, volunteering, coaching and attending school. Angie is also finishing up her term on the Michigan City Common Council as a Member At-large.

Angie is currently in her second year of law school in the part-time program at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Angie holds a MPA from Indiana University Northwest and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Angie has been actively involved in the LaPorte County community. Angie has served on several boards of United Way Agency organizations such as Dunebrook and CASA/Harmony House. Angie is dedicated to providing a better quality of life for all people.
