Conducting a workplace giving campaign is one of the most effective and powerful ways to impact our communities through United Way. In fact, more than 70% of the money contributed to United Way of LaPorte County comes from individuals in the workplace.
Conducting a United Way employee giving campaign is easy and efficient. One of our community volunteers (called Loaned Executives) will work with you to plan and deliver an effective campaign. Loaned Executives have been trained to present the United Way message to employee groups in a concise format and in a forum of your choosing.
Giving your employees an opportunity to “give back” to their local communities to support friends, neighbors, and family members in need has many proven benefits to your organization. Employees develop a greater appreciation for their personal well being - in the good fortune in having employment and the ability to provide for themselves and their families. Employees also value a cause that places people on a path from survival toward economic self-sufficiency and security. We commonly call our approach “giving a hand up,” not a “hand-out.”
