United Way 211 is the bridge between you and the answers you need to find local services, from general community information to counseling, food, clothing, after-school programs, shelter, legal and financial assistance, and much more. 2-1-1 is fast convenient and designed with you in mind.

Call Center:
By dialing 2-1-1, you are linked to a live, highly-trained Information & Referral Specialist who will assess your needs and match you to the best resource in your community. Assistance is confidential and offered in both English and Spanish.

Online Database and Highlighted Programs:
United Way 2-1-1 offers a comprehensive online database of nearly 2,000 LaPorte County programs and services. Search by program, agency, or keyword to find the community resources you need.

In Times of Disaster:
During a disaster, United Way 2-1-1 works with the LaPorte County’s Office of Emergency Services (9-1-1) to provide information to the community, and trend analysis results to County officials, report unmet community needs , and act as a central communications service for various community agencies and non-governmental organizations.

Community Assessment:
United Way 2-1-1 reliably tracks needs and provides social service, education and church leadership with needs assessments that allow them to address emerging social trends in real time.
