Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

The VITA program offers free tax help to individuals, families, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. 

VITA appointments are available in January through April.

• IRS-certified tax preparers will prepare and e-file your income taxes for free if you:1) Have an adjusted gross income of $66,000 or less (per household) and 2) Your return does NOT include rental income, farm income, adoption credits or income from other states.
• If you worked in 2020, you may be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit — even if you don't owe income tax! Filing electronically guarantees a quick refund (typically 7-14 days).
