POWER OF THE PURSE is an exciting designer purse raffle event that brings local leaders together to have fun, network, and support the FINANCIAL SECURITY impact work of Women United and United Way of La Porte County.
Each year, Power of the Purse silent and live auctions feature beautiful designer bags for women and men for all occasions, as well as exciting entertainment and networking. In addition to our amazing designer bags, there are several other exciting items and experiences available in our auctions and raffle. Dress is fun business casual.
Guests will also enjoy a complimentary 3-entrée Italian dinner buffet and delicious desserts, with signature drinks and a full bar for purchase with cash or sponsorship drink tickets. Individual tickets are just $75 and sponsorships begin at $500.

The United Way MySmartMoneysite also has tips and tools to help people improve their skills online.

United Way connects people to short-term shelter, eviction relief, and rent support through the Indiana 211 help line. Our partners help individuals and families avoid homelessness. And we work to make homeownership an achievable goal for more families.

CHANCE RAFFLE
In addition to the auctions, participants can purchase Chance Raffle tickets for $5 each. Purses and basket prizes will be displayed on tables throughout the space, each with a corresponding container for tickets. Put your tickets in the jars of your choice for a chance to win that prize. At the end of the night, a winning ticket is drawn from each container. The more tickets you put in your favorite prize's container, the more likely your chance to WIN!
