More than a gala, UNITED WE RISE is a movement. It is a strategic change in the way we are working together to uplift everyone in La Porte County. By collectively advocating for your support, we amplify your financial investment and reduce resource strain for our 15 local funded partner agencies, so they can focus more on doing the work that is needed in our community.
United Way of La Porte County provides funding to several local partner agencies whose commitment to HEALTHY COMMUNITY, YOUTH OPPORTUNITY, FINANCIAL SECURITY, and COMMUNITY RESILIENCY is proven through dedicated work and impactful outcomes.
Your support of UNITED WE RISE directly funds these organizations. You can choose to amplify a partner that is especially important to you by helping them complete exciting quests and challenges on social media that will unlock access to funds beyond their regular annual allocation; or you can support everyone with an investment in the general fund that will be matched by other local changemakers and leveraged to achieve maximum effectiveness across our communities. United Way of La Porte County serves many communities living on the traditional homelands of the Potawatomi and Hopewell people. Other tribes such as the Ottawa and Sauk have also called this area home. Long before contact with Europeans, our region was a thriving, vibrant center for gatherers, traders, hunters, craftspeople, and culture bearers with ancient lineage and inextricable ties to the land. Today, we celebrate those who continue the stories and traditions of these beautiful communities.
